Welcome to

for 2007

Update: 9th July 2007

Temporary Closure of The Intercity Platform QLD and The Intercity Platform Asia

Folks, as of today, we are undertaking much needed repair and upgrade work to The Intercity Platform, and many of our subsidiaries which include The Intercity Platform QLD (Brisbane) and The Intercity Platform Asia (Vietnam).

It has been decided that these regional subsidiary websites will finally be merged and consolidated with the main 'Platform website, a process which will take an unknown duration of time.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the temporary removal of these subsidiary websites, and will assure you they will return online at an appropriate date. If you require any information or photograph that is on either website, you are welcome to email us and specify your needs, and we'll send the content to you. G'day, and welcome on The Intercity Platform!

Trains, Tracks, Stations - The three fundamental elements of any railway. The Intercity Platform is a website dedicated to representing all facets of railfanning, whether in Australia or beyond. We promote and foster the many diverse interests of railways through railfanning, railway photography, model railways, live steam, railway preservation, and much more!

The Intercity Platform started off as a humble railfanning website showcasing the photographs and railfanning interests of Sydney, Australia. That was in 2000, and alot has changed since then! The website now showcases a wide range of railway photographs from various Australian destinations, the unfamiliar sights of Vietnam, and now, the United States!

So welcome aboard, what will be, an exciting and promising journey for all of you. As The Intercity Platform heads into the railways of 2007!

Take it easy
