The following photographs were taken on the 14th of January 2004, when I travelled on 3801 Limited's The Cockatoo Run service to Bomaderry. The The Cockatoo Run is a twice a week service which travels between Sydney and Moss Vale via the South Coast and the Unanderra-Moss Vale line. On some occasions during the year, services travel to Bomaderry (Nowra) on the end of the South Coast line, such as the service featured here.

Also of note, The Cockatoo Run is typically hauled by 3801 Limited's locomotives, 4908 and/or 4918. At the time of this run, both locomotives were unavaliable for this duty, and 4401 was used.

The Cockatoo Run (CL-1) awaits at Dunmore to cross a Sydney bound intercity train ahead on the single tracked South Coast line. An early running of CL-1 and a late running of the intercity train had created a long waiting time!

(Centre-Left): The locomotive crew of 4401 alight while awaiting the crossover.

(Bottom-Left): Other 3801 Limited passenger attendants and crew alight from the train during the crossover.
