Sydney return, The Cockatoo Run (CL-2), passes through Coal Cliff after exiting the single-lined tunnel. Surrounding the line is the Coal Cliff colliery and the coke ovens (On the left hand side of the train).

The Cockatoo Run (CL-1) awaits at Dunmore to cross a Sydney bound intercity train ahead on the single tracked South Coast line. An early running of CL-1 and a late running of the intercity train had created a long waiting time! 

 

(Top-Left): The train manager/company representative and train guard confer with the driver with regards to the crossover.

(Centre-Left): The locomotive crew of 4401 alight while awaiting the crossover.

The following are photographs of the scenery and trackside infrastructure, taken during a cabride aboard 4401 on The Cockatoo Run (CL-1) enroute between Berry and Bomaderry stations.

 

(Top-Left): 4401 on The Cockatoo Run (CL-1) crossing the Flying Fox creek bridge South of Berry.

(2nd Top-Left): 4401 on The Cockatoo Run (CL-1) approaches O'Keefe's Lane Level Crossing. Note that level crossings on this section of the South Coast line are unprotected.

(Centre and 2nd Bottom-Left): The bushland surrounding the approach into Bomaderry.

(Bottom-Left)): The home signal clearing The Cockatoo Run (CL-1) into the Yard of Bomaderry and onto arrival at Bomaderry station.

4401 runs around the carriages of The Cockatoo Run (CL-1) at Bomaderry (Nowra). 4401's observer, Ron, hangs by the locomotive during the shunt.

The Cockatoo Run train set with 4401, MFS 2121, MBR 2078 and MFS 2145 are stabled on the loop line in Bomaderry Yard after arrival. The Cockatoo Run will return to Sydney as CL-2.
