V-SETs: Part 4

(Top to Bottom-Left:) In the early hours of a Sunday Morning, trackwork between St Marys and Granville made some alterations. V10 was suppose to be the 6:49am ex Penrith to Lithgow but was rescheduled to 7:22am. In addition, it orginated its service on Platform 1, Penrith.

This picture is showing the difference of a DK series carriage on the Intercity Fleet. The Vestibule entry door is sliding, and just requires a push of the yellow button. Photograph taken inside carriage DKT 9186, part of set V10.

Early morning sun creates a warmth glow on board DKT 9186, amended run 7:22am to Lithgow.

With trackwork further East between St Marys and Granville, an amended weekend timetable led to a reduction in services, therefore, majority of Blue Mountains line V-SETs were then stabled in Mt Victoria Yard.

Picture shows three untargetted, candy coloured V-SETs in the yard.

(Top and Bottom-Left): Set V61 makes its amended arrival into Mt Victoria Station, arriving about 30mins late.

(Top and Middle-Left): V61 in the rain at Lithgow. The trailing end (Now leading) does not look too happy especially with its graffiti.

The Interior of carriage DDT 9208. This carriage (As well as a few others) were converted from the 1970 Stock order of a DDC (Which was a driving trailer).

V10 was part of the 3:07pm run ex Mt Victoria.

The three pictures to the left show the set making a show, but somehow noisy, shunt out of the depths of Mt Victoria Yard onto Platform 1.

On the 8-car V34, the last trailing 3 cars has been closed off. The yellow tape is obvious in this shot, but is noticable on the shot above.
